Agriculture Equipment and Tools consist of those tools used to manipulate the soil, to seed or plant the land and to harvest crops. Agriculture equipment also includes those tools used for the many related activities such as irrigation, drainage, the construction of buildings, fences and storage silos, land clearing and general maintenance of machines. Ever since we first began growing plants to consume them, we’ve used tools to help them grow and to collect them at harvest. We used pointed tools to dig and loosen the soil and sharp bladed tools to cut down the plants. Improvements to these early tools are still used on farms and in small gardens today, such as the shovel, hoe, rake, trowel, and scythe. The development of larger implements, such as plows and cultivators drawn by tractors increased productivity to feed entire populations.
