Hand Tools

Can’t find the hand tool for that special job? Hand tools are any hand operated device that helps us to measure, hold, cut, shape or manipulate metal or wood materials or parts. Popular hand tools include screwdrivers, wrenches, saws, pliers, pry bars, and hammers. The very first hand tools were manufactured out of stone over 2.5 millions years in the what we know as the Stone Age. Around 2,000 BC tool makers started using bronze to make weapons such as spearheads, swords, and knives. As early as 1500 BC, tool makers used iron to make tools which continues to be the primary material of choice. With the Industrial Revolution came new technologies that allowed tool makers to design hand tools of increasing complexity and precision. Today, hand tools are mostly created by machines with great precision and in massive quanties.
